Instructions for use

  • Welcome to the e-resources of National Cheng Kung University Library. To access the system, please obey NCKU Library E-resources Use Regulations and click the links listed below
  • When accessing to databases, electronic journals, and e-books, the NCKU users from off campus are required to access through SSL VPN (Virtual Private Network). If any question for use, please contact to us.

Search System

  • E-Resources Gateway

    E-resources Gateway includes all databases, e-journals, medical e-resources and library instruction courses in NCKU Library.

  • Discovery System (Primo)

    Discovery System is a one-stop search system for large amounts of print and online content, including books, ebooks, articles, book reviews, videos, course reserves, conference papers, dissertations, and more. And results can be sorted, facet-filtered, guided to full-text, exported citations and more personal service.

E-resources Use Regulations

  • Please check your computer's security settings, not to become hackers' zombie computer. Install Anti-Virus Protection.
  • Please obey the「National Cheng Kung University Library Rules for Use of Electronic Resources」while using E-resources. The E-resources use regulations are on the basis of "fair use," browsing, downloading, printing and saving the search results or full-texts are allowable. Using software or other way for systematic or excessive downloading and printing a high amount of full-texts are strictly forbidden. All the contents of NCKU Library E-resources are for research and education use only. DO NOT disseminate the licensed materials or engage in any profit-making activities. Also, giving out personal ID and password is forbidden. Any violation will result in a suspension of the rights to use the E-resources and, possibly, other penalties listed in the「NCKU Library Rules for Reader Violations」. In addition, the violator has to bear all the legal responsibilities for his/her infringements for any legal action which might be taken by the copyright owner.
  • Please respect the Intellectual Property Rights. To edit or extend the contents (including articles, figures, tables, and copyright statement) retrieved from the licensed materials or to integrate the contents with other data by any forms are forbidden.
  • Strong passwords are extremely important to prevent unauthorized access to your personal accounts.
    • Strong password rules
      • The password is not same with the ID.
      • The password length over eight or more.
      • Use the alphabet and number mixing.
    • VPN users and ERMG users, steps to reset a Cheng-Kung Portal new password.
      • Access Cheng-Kung Portal.
      • Login the Username and Password.
      • Click "My account" and "Password"
      • Click Input new password.
      • Click "Save"
