Resources types

The Map Collection contains all types of maps, atlases, charts and globes. Included are topographic charts, Taiwan road maps, Taiwan and foreign city maps and oversize reference resources. Please search the library online catalog to find out the materials your need, and then follow the call numbers to obtain the materials. Besides, if confidential or old vision maps are needed, please contact Collection Management and Circulation Services Division on the first floor.

Specific Information

How to find a map？
Maps,like books, have a call number. Access the library online catalog to get materials.
Atlases (begin with the letter designation "R") are shelved numerically according to their call number in the map cases.
Taiwan orthophotomaps is located at map cases 7-1~9-16.

Classified maps are shelved in closed stacks area. Besides, classified maps cannot be checked out overnight. If you wish to use classified maps, please contact Collection Management and Circulation Services Division for more information.

Taiwan 1/25000 topographic charts are shelved in map cases 12-1~12-18; China (Taiwan) 1/50000 Maps are shelved in map cases 13-1~13-3; Republic of China, Taiwan Maps are shelved in map cases 13-4; Taiwan Maps 1/100000 are shelved in map cases 13-5~13-9, these maps are shelved numerically according to their call number in the map cases.

Other Chinese, Japanese and Foreign maps are shelved in map cases 13-10~15-9, 16-1 and 16-2~16-9 respectively.
