To address water leakage caused by the deterioration of the skylight on the east side of the Main Library’s first floor, waterproofing improvement works are scheduled from October 19, 2026, to November 30, 2026. Some noise may occur during construction. We apologize for any inconvenience.
1. Construction Information
· Period: October 19–November 30, 2026. (The area will reopen earlier if work finishes ahead of schedule)
· Location: Skylight canopy, East Side, 1st Floor, Main Library.
2. Important Reminders
l The contractor will erect scaffolding beside the east entrance on the 1st floor. When passing through the east entrance and the construction area, please be careful and follow the on-site traffic control and instructions.
l Occasional noise is expected during construction. For a quieter reading environment, we recommend the reading areas on the 4th and 5th floors.
l Earplugs are available at the self-service area on the 1st floor, in limited quantities. Patrons in need are welcome to take a pair.
