The token allocation for the American Chemical Society (ACS) Read & Publish 2024–2026 agreement is nearly exhausted. ACS needs to reconfigure participating consortium members. The ACS processing platform, Copyright Clearance Center (CCC), will be temporarily suspended from November 1 to November 7, 2026, for the transition to the 2027–2029 agreement.
For articles accepted during the platform suspension period:
Authors are advised to temporarily refrain from signing the publishing license. In particular, authors submitting to Gold OA journals should not pay the Article Processing Charge (APC) themselves, as such payments cannot be refunded afterward.
The publisher will provide a list of accepted articles to the Library for verification. Once confirmed, the publisher will publish the articles as OA.
NCKU Library has joined the 2027–2029 ACS Read & Publish consortium agreement. The new agreement will take effect on November 8, 2026. NCKU faculty, staff, and students are welcome to make use of this service.
