In support of promoting open access journal, NCKU Library has partnered with BioMed Central through an Open Access membership program since 2015. Researchers in NCKU will receive 15% discount on article processing charges (APCs) when publishing in any BioMed Central or SpringerOpen journal.

• The old platform: (eligibility for BMC APC waive should be checked in 7 days after submitting manuscript)
  • - The journal which was on the old platform will continue to transferred to the new platform.
  • - If your article meets one of the requirements above and follows the guideline to choose ”National Cheng Kung University”, the discount will be automatically applied.
  • - If any step of the process is different, please check your mailbox, including junk mail, to find the submission confirmation e-mail and click the link in the mail to get the discount.
  • - If you have any questions, please contact us by e-mail as soon as possible, if you request waive too late, the publisher remain the right to reject waive.

  • - Your article should meet one of the requirements mentioned above.
  • - After article acceptance, the corresponding author will receive an invitation to complete the publication process for the article and the authors will be able to identify themselves
