faculty, students, and staff members are invited to submit purchase
requests for library materials.
- Quantity limits
in one semester
(1) Books:5 Chinese books, 3 foreign language books
(2) Journals:only general and leisure journals are allowed
2 Chinese journals, 1 foreign language journal
(3) Multimedia materials:maximum of NT$3,000
- Acquisitions Policy
(1) Orders can be made if they fall within both the guidelines of the
library Collection Development Policy and budget allocation.
(2) Reports will be generated for all recommendations. The person who
requests purchases will be notified by email and also has first priority
on borrowing these items when they are ready for checkout.
(3) The Acquisitions and Cataloging Division will be responsible for
cataloging and processing all new materials when they are received.

- Users: academic departments
- When library's budget collected
from all departments is allocated, this service is thus open to the
academics. Acquisitions & Cataloging Division will announce this
message and request all departments for sending requests to “Suggest
a Purchase of Library Materials” online.
- Every department has its
own account and password assigned by the Acquisitions & Cataloging
Division to log in this system.
- The Acquisitions and Cataloging
Division will be responsible for cataloging and processing all new materials
when they are received. Please use our Library Catalog on the Web to
follow-up.
- After Acquisitions &
Cataloging Division has received/cataloged the new material, we will
put this item on reserve for the person who recommends the purchase
and also takes borrowing priority over others. The reserve message will
be sent directly to the person via e-mail.
